The Whisk(e)y Sour

This cocktail is perfect for any occasion! This smokey sweet and sour cocktail will have you making this at every opportunity.

Ingredients:

2 oz Bourbon

2 oz lemon juice

1 oz simple syrup or agave

1 egg white*

1-2 dashes Angostura bitters

Ice

Method:

In the bottom of a shaker, add your Bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, egg white, and your Angostura bitters. Add a small piece of ice and top with the top of your shakers. Shake the cocktail vigorously until you can no longer hear the ice piece in the shaker. Open the shaker and add more ice, top your shaker and shake until the outside of the shaker is frosty.

Strain the cocktail over fresh ice, and enjoy it!

*If you are worried about eating raw egg, use a pasteurized egg white, you can find them in the supermarket. (NOT A DOCTOR) The lemon juice and alcohol create an environment that doesn’t allow harmful bacteria to survive.
