The Greyhound
The Greyhound
This is a traditional cocktail that isn’t well known, AND IT SHOULD BE! It's delicious tangy, piney, and, if you decide, sweet. Below are the traditional cocktail recipe and my preferred additions to the cocktail.
Traditional:
Ingredients:
2.5 oz gin (something with a lot of rosemary in it, i.e., Bombay)
1/2 cup grapefruit juice (preferably fresh-squeezed, or at least not from concentrate)
Club soda
Ice
Rosemary
Method:
In a large red wine glass, or a pint glass works as well, add your gin. Add your grapefruit juice and a splash of club soda. Add your ice and stir to combine. To garnish, take a beautiful sprig of rosemary and place it in the palm of your hand. Now give it a resounding CLAP! This will open up the oils in the rosemary. Rub the rosemary on the lip of the glass and then place it inside the drink. Now enjoy!
Bonn’s Prefered Version:

Club soda
Ice
Rosemary
Method:
